Pads, rotors, fluid and the hydraulics behind them. We measure what is left before we quote, so you are not paying to replace a part with half its life in it.
Rotors, and European, performance and larger vehicles, are quoted before any work starts.
Brakes, explained clearly.
Brakes give you warning before they fail. A squeal is the wear indicator doing its job. A grind means the pad is gone and the rotor is being cut by metal. A pedal that sinks is hydraulic, and that one does not wait.
We put the car on a hoist and measure. Pad thickness, rotor thickness, runout, and the condition of the fluid. Then you get a number for the work that is actually needed, not a number for a full set of everything.
The starting price is pads on a common sedan or hatchback, fitted, with the fluid checked and a road test. Rotors, and European, performance and larger vehicles, are quoted before any work starts.
- Pads fitted, on common sedans and hatchbacks
- Brake fluid checked
- Pads, rotors and fluid measured on the hoist
- Parts and labour quoted in writing before anything comes off
- Road test, with the pedal checked
- 12 months / 20,000 km warranty on parts and labour

Details
Anything without a published price is quoted in writing, parts and labour, itemised, before it's touched. Not sure what's wrong? The diagnostic is a fault-code scan and a road test.
You stay in the driver's seat.
Measured on the hoist
Pads, rotors and fluid measured on the hoist. You see the figures.
Quoted in writing
Parts and labour, itemised, in writing before anything comes off.
Done and road-tested
Parts and labour carry 12 months / 20,000 km. Every brake job is road-tested and the pedal checked before you get the keys.
Do I need rotors as well as pads?
Only if the rotor is below the manufacturer's minimum thickness or has run out of true. We measure it and tell you the number, and rotors are quoted before any work starts.
What does the starting price cover?
Pads on a common sedan or hatchback, fitted, with the brake fluid checked and a road test, from $150. European, performance and larger vehicles, and any rotors, are quoted first.
Why does the pedal go soft?
A soft or sinking pedal is hydraulic, air, a leak, or a failing master cylinder. It is not a wear item and it will not fix itself. Do not drive it, call us.
What are the signs my brakes need work?
- Grinding when you press the brakes
- Squealing when you press the brakes
- The brake pedal feels soft or sinks to the floor
- The car pulls to one side when you brake
- Braking shudders through the brake pedal
- Clear or amber fluid pooling near a wheel
- The handbrake pulls up further than it used to
