Warning light, rough idle or lost power?
Find the fault before replacing parts.
Engine repairs Quoted after diagnosis Offer terms ↗ Know what's included.
A warning light, a rough idle or lost power can each have more than one cause. We scan, take live data and write down the fault path before any part is replaced.
Engine faults vary too much between cars for a starting price. We find the fault, then put the number in writing.
Engine repairs, explained clearly.
Engine management faults get a scan, live data and a written fault path. A code is a starting point, not an answer. Replacing the part a code names is how people spend money twice.
Some repairs cannot have a published price honestly. So we diagnose it first and give you a quote you can hold us to.
- Diagnosed before anything comes apart
- Parts and labour itemised in writing
- The fault path that justifies the job
- Nothing touched until you have said yes
- We say so if it is not worth repairing

Details
Anything without a published price is quoted in writing, parts and labour, itemised, before it's touched. Not sure what's wrong? The diagnostic is a fault-code scan and a road test.
You stay in the driver's seat.
Diagnostic
The diagnostic is a fault-code scan and a road test. Every repair is quoted in writing before work starts. $49, so you know what is wrong before you decide on the repair.
Itemised in writing
Parts and labour, listed separately, with the fault path that justifies the job. You keep the quote whether or not you go ahead.
Approve, then we work
Nothing happens until you say yes. Anything extra gets a phone call, not a bigger invoice. 12 months / 20,000 km on what we fit.
Can you read my engine light?
Yes, and we go further than the code. A lean-mixture code can be a leak, a pump, an injector or a sensor. We take live data, work out which part of the circuit is at fault, and write it down.
Does a warning light always mean an expensive repair?
No. The same light can come from a loose sensor or a failing part. The diagnosis tells us which before anything is replaced, and the quote follows from that.
Will you tell me if it is not worth fixing?
Yes. If the repair costs more than the car is worth, we will say so and you can decide. We would rather lose a job than sell one that makes no sense.
Do you do clutches and timing belts?
Yes. Each has its own page, clutch repairs and timing belts, and the same rule: diagnosed first, quoted in writing.
What brings a car in for an engine repair?
- The check engine light is on
- A noise when accelerating
- A noise sitting at idle
- The oil pressure light is on
- Milky or creamy fluid where it should not be
- Dark brown or black fluid leaking
