What can change the price
Service schedule
Land Rover services on a 12-month limit, with the distance set by model and engine. Recent Australian examples: Defender 12 months or 20,000 km, Evoque 12 months or 20,400 km, Range Rover Sport diesel 12 months or 26,000 km. Your car's own logbook is the final word for your model.
What a generic service misses
- The right STJLR code
- Land Rover's diesel and petrol engines each have their own approval. The 2.0 Ingenium diesel takes a different oil from the 3.0 V6 diesel.
- Transfer box and differential oils
- Long fixed intervals, and locking differentials use their own oil, so they are easy to miss or get wrong.
- Air suspension parts to watch
- On air-suspension models, the air springs, lines and compressor are the parts that wear.
- Electronic parking brake service position
- The parking brake is put into its service position with diagnostics before rear brake work, and taken out after.
Needs a scan tool: Service interval reset · Electronic parking brake service position · Battery monitoring system recalibration after a battery change
What moves the figure
- How much oil your engine takes
- Engines take different amounts. Yours always gets its full fill, and the price is confirmed for your car.
- The oil your engine needs
- We use the specification your manufacturer sets, from Liqui Moly, Penrite, Motul, Castrol, Mobil and Valvoline. The grade and the brand change the figure.
- Your oil filter
- A less common or dearer filter changes the figure. If a part has to be ordered in, we tell you when we call.
- What your schedule calls for
- Other filters, spark plugs or fluids due at this service are extra items, priced before we start.

Which oil does my Land Rover take?
The one carrying your engine's approval. On Land Rover that is usually STJLR.03.5005, STJLR.03.5007, STJLR.03.5006 and STJLR.51.5122, depending on the engine. We confirm it from your rego before quoting.
How often does a Land Rover need a service?
Land Rover services on a 12-month limit, with the distance set by model and engine. Recent Australian examples: Defender 12 months or 20,000 km, Evoque 12 months or 20,400 km, Range Rover Sport diesel 12 months or 26,000 km. Your car's own logbook is the final word for your model.
Will servicing here affect my new-car warranty?
No. Servicing at an independent workshop does not affect your consumer guarantees, and manufacturer warranties generally do not require dealer servicing where the work meets the manufacturer's standards. We follow the schedule, stamp the logbook and keep the records.
Details
We are not a Land Rover dealer and Land Rover has not authorised this workshop. We are an independent workshop that services to the manufacturer's schedule and records what went in.
Among the most common Land Rovers on Australian roads: Defender, Range Rover Sport, Range Rover Evoque, Discovery Sport, Discovery and Range Rover Velar. Whichever you drive, send the rego and we confirm the engine, the oil approval and the price before anything is booked.
